We’re bringing the ocean to your living room! We’re planning to install live streaming webcams and hydrophones (underwater listening devices) in our region.

These real time marine life monitoring stations will be accessible by the public and will provide a unique and valuable window into our coastal inhabitants and their underwater world.

Help us reach our fundraising goal!

Phase 1:

Grief Point, Powell River with a view towards Myrtle Rocks in Malaspina Strait. This site will have a surface camera and hydrophone.

Phase 2:

Location currently under negotiation, but will look towards sea lion habitat and areas where whales are often sighted. This site will have a surface web cam and hydrophone, with the possible addition of an underwater camera.
