Wild Ocean Whale Society (WOWs) is a registered B.C. non-profit Society incorporated in 2013.

The mandate of WOWs is: To raise public awareness, respect and enthusiasm for the protection and welfare of our coastal wildlife and marine ecosystems through information and education.

WOWs operates entirely on donated volunteer time, including its dedicated volunteer Board of Directors.

WOWs operates and funds Whales and Dolphins BC, an educational website and sightings network program, gathering and publishing sightings and behavioural observations in B.C. waterways.

In 2016, WOWs will extend its public outreach and education programs by funding, installing and operating its first real-time Marine Wildlife Monitoring Station at Grief Point in Powell River.
